Current mood: brilliant

ok... some exciting stuff has happened/ is about to happen back here in germany... i thought i would be all sad because i miss tucson so much, but the i decided to skip the being sad part and just miss tucson...
we actually have tucson weather here in germany, almost 100 degrees (reminds me of that shout out louds song :-) )

anyways, there are some amazing shows here in good old germany... AFI are gonna play in munich, panic! at the disco in stuttgart and dahsboard and jimmy eat world are gonna be in gelsenkirchen... so no need to be sad. however, i miss all those american indie bands that played in tucson.. apparently they cant afford a ticket to old europe.

i also found a pretty sweet room with very nice roommates in the city that stole my heart: tuebingen! i am gonna move back there in like 2 weeks, and i cant wait!!! i loooove tuebingen.. i am gonna spent all august hanging out there with friends at the city hall and have a drink (maybe coke and red wine? or beer and 7 up?) :-) the room is adorable, my new roomies are pretty cool and i also changed my majors. i am gonna be a linguistics major soon. with spanish minor and american studies minor. yay


aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalso: i just got my first big dj gig offered,... i will be djaying in one of the biggest indie clubs in stuttgart in september. hooray!!!! it is gonna be an all rock night and i am gonna do that with a friend (he isall into that emo/screamo/metalcore blah stuff and i am in charge of the retro and "the" bands. YAY�!!!)

and i also just got a message from my dad... we are gonna celebrate my sister's 29 Bth (actually she is gonna be 31, but we only count until 29 and the use the alphabet..:) in DISNEYLAND... well. EURODISNEY... but still!!!!!! i am gonna hump tigger. ... AGAIN"" haahahaa

manchmal dauerts ne ganze weile um mzu merken wieviele wunderbare dinge man eigentlich erlebt hat.

the last couple of days were a lot of fun! i've had such a good time, which is definitely also thanks to james and the friends he introduced me to... friday night we decided to go to che's, have some beers, meet up with kevin and then head to asylum, to do some dancing (oh, i haven't been dancing for sooooooooo long)... me and kevin danced a lot, we definitely had a blast... i am glad i met kevin (finally) even though it is sad, only one week before my dad comes to tucson... asylum was fun, we danced a lot and yeah... too bad it is my last friday there...

saturday was a little more low key... i met mullarkey for dinner (nowadays, i dont get out of the house before the sun sets, it is just too hot. way too hot...), we wanted to go to the garland (vegetarian restaurant on speedway). this wasnt the easiest task, because when he arrived at my place, there was a nasty slightly rainy sandstorm ... i still feel like i have sand everywhere (and i took a shower). but there was a beautiful rainbow, and the wind felt soooo good. anyways, the garland was closed and we had to go somewhere else, and so we ended up at bumsted's. the food was yummy (i had the other half of my sandwich with a lot of garlic and onions this morning for breakfast, so if you han g out with me today, you should probably bring some chewing gum..:) and we got a discount because we are friends of mike (who is mike? is that sterling? i have no clue, but hey... 20% discount). i am glad i hung out with mullarkey, he is an amazing person, with amazing stories, i really really hope to see him again in europe. or maybe even when i come back...

so after i hung out with mullarkey, james and i went to colin and kevin's place. even though they live a little outside, their house is amazing... kevin made very delicious white russians, and colin served yummy red wine. it was also pretty cool to talk to colin about germany, as he has lived there for some years, and visited my country a couple of times. we also watched a pretty cool movie (everything is illuminated) and well... those guys are one of the cutest couple i have met in quite a while.

this monday we are going to go out, definitely me, james, and colin... we wanna head to congres... (80s party...). please let me know if you feel like going with us. my last week here starts,..

ugh.

gestern nacht war clubcrawl... die strasse in der die ganzen clubs und bars sind war abgesperrt... und man bezahlte 10 dollar eintritt... und es haben auf insgesamt 25 bühnen (indoors und outdoors) 100 bands gespielt. und da schön eingezäunt war durfte man auch auf der strasse trinken. hurrah!!!!

so. was war?


letzten sonntag war ich auf nem sehr netten konzert. es spielten hellogoodbye, panic! at the disco, the academy is, und the acceptance. sehr nette bands, sehr poppig, texte die gefallen, fröhliche musike, und panic! at the disco, meine derzeitigen favoriten waren entegegn meiner skeptik am anfang super live. :-)
am montag dann dieser junge mann:





reggie and the full effect. super schickes konzert, klein, nette atmösphäre (ich sah dredg und streetlight manifesto there), und ja. ich fands toll.


so. das war. was wird sein?

also... erstmal bin ich echt begeistert über die konzerte die hier stattfinden.
nächsten samstag sollte ich eigentlich zu rocky votolato und appleseed cast und minus the bear fahren, jedoch bekam ich ne umsonst mitfahrgelegenheit nach Los angeles angeboten und da fahr ich dann doch lieber nach La und disneyland (und dann mim zug nach san francisco) und so...
und... lass man überlegen.

also am 27.3. spielen franz ferdinand mit death cab for cutie, uhm,... dann kommen noch clap your hands say yeah, miss jenny lewis und die watson twins, udn...

ja... alkaline trio. hurrah. und der focus dieser show wird nur auf alte sachen gelegt. ich freu mich wie ein schnitzelchen :-)

by the way, ich hab nen neuen start in den tag gefunden. jeden morgen schalte ich meinen winamp und und lasse ihn per shuffle meinen ganzen musikordner spielen. das erste lied, das er aus den 4500 liedern spielt is mein motto des tages. heute war es:

faule sau die ich bin kopiere ich einfach mal den eintrag aus meinem amerikanischen blog. und ihr könnt ja alle englisch. nur eben zur erklärung: ich war gestern bargolfen. neun löcher (bars), und versuchen under par zu kommen. durch minus punkte sammeln (trinken, dumme sachen machen... etc). alle (naja, fast alle) waren dressed up. war ein rieeeeeeeeeeeeesenspass!!!!!






ok.. first of all the bargolfing update, i.e. my scorecard score: the bars i went to, the drinks i had there and the bonuspoints i made by doing stupid things.
-1 point for being dressed up.
